- Trail mix and/or biltong for snacking during walks or breaks
Packing Advice: To optimize your backpack’s weight distribution and ease of access:
- Measure and pack the right amount of food and equipment in advance.
- Separate your food from clothing and equipment, placing it in a separate packet or lightweight bag within your backpack.
- Pack as much as possible inside your backpack, securing items like the mat, slops, and water bottles on the outside.
- Conduct a practice pack and carry beforehand to test the setup and adjust the straps for balance.
